Association of Wireless Technology - Membership Terms and Conditions

Membership
Applications for Membership may be made on the aowt.org web site.

Applicants for Membership must select their own username, password and security Q&A (to be used in the event of a forgotten password) that must be used to access the members section of aowt.org’s website. Applicants must also provide certain personal information as requested during membership application. Membership information, personal information and other information will be collected and used in accordance with the aowt.org Privacy Statement.

What Members must do and what Members authorise us to do.
You must notify aowt.org immediately of any change to your email address.

You are responsible for and must pay the cost of all telecommunications and Internet access charges incurred when using aowt.org. You are responsible for all equipment and software necessary to access aowt.org as well as for the security and integrity of your data. Your use of aowt.org is your responsibility and entirely at your own risk. We do not check the content of information available from aowt.org and we are not liable for loss or damage that you or anyone else suffers as a result of using this information including, but not limited to, any damage to, or loss of, data caused by a virus or similar program.

What Members must not do.
You must not send or disclose your username or password to anybody other than us. You must not store your username or password in any form in any location (for example on the hard drive of your personal computer or other devices used to access the Internet), where they are capable of being read by anybody other than yourself.

You must not use aowt.org for any activities which breach any laws, infringe a third party's rights, or breach any standards, content requirements or codes promulgated by any relevant authority including activities which will require us to take remedial action under any applicable industry code. You must not use aowt.org in a way which interferes with other users or defames, harasses, menaces, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying aowt.org. You must not use aowt.org to send unsolicited or unwelcome electronic mail messages to anyone.

You are responsible for obtaining advice about whether your use of aowt.org involves activities which breach any laws, infringe a third party's rights, or breach any standards, content requirements or codes promulgated by any relevant authority including the Internet Industry Association Code of Conduct.

You indemnify us from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected to the use of aowt.org by you or any other person using your membership identification and password.

Changes / Termination of Membership.
We may vary any of these Terms of Use at any time by notice to you. Your continued use of the Service after such notice will constitute acceptance of the variation. Notices under this agreement must be sent by prepaid ordinary post, by facsimile or by electronic mail, unless we specify an alternative means of giving notice in order to verify your identity.

If, in aowt.org’s reasonable opinion, you breach any of these terms or conditions, we may suspend your access to aowt.org. You are not entitled to a credit or refund for loss of access during the suspension period.

Communication Services.
aowt.org contains electronic discussion forums, chat rooms and other communication facilities which provide for feedback by users to aowt.org, real-time interaction between users and other electronic messaging and notice services including aowt.org web based email, unified messaging, email or other notification to wireless devices such as mobile phones, PocketSports, and access to aowt.org from mobile phones ("Communication Services").

It is a condition of your use of any Communication Service and your access to the aowt.org that you:

• acknowledge that the Communication Service is not moderated, and that aowt.org does not control the forum;

• acknowledge that aowt.org is not under any obligation to monitor or censor the material generated by users of Communication Service, however it reserves the right to do so;

• acknowledge that aowt.org is not responsible for the Communication Service's content;

• acknowledge that the views expressed are not necessarily those of aowt.org;

• agree not to make lewd, obscene, threatening, abusive or defamatory remarks or incite hatred to any other person or group;

• agree not to post or transmit any material of any kind which violates or infringes upon the rights of any other person, including material which is an invasion of any privacy or publicity rights or which is protected by copyright, trademark or any other proprietary right, or derivative works with respect thereto, without first obtaining permission from the owner or relevant right holder;

• agree not to abuse, harass, threaten or embarrass any other person or interfere with the operation of the Communication Service or interferes with the enjoyment of the Communication Service by other people;

• agree not to post or transmit any material of any kind which contains a virus or other harmful component;

• must not delete any author acknowledgments, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded;

• must not download any file posted by any other user of a Communication Service if you know, or reasonably ought to know, that the file cannot legally be distributed in such manner;

• grant to aowt.org an irrevocable, world-wide, royalty free licence to copy and adapt any material you generate through use of the Communication Service to the extent necessary to provide the Communication Service, or to promote the Communication Service or any other service of aowt.org;

• release aowt.org from all liability in connection with the Communication Service, including for any failure to provide a Communication Service.

Aowt.org reserves the right to withdraw any Communication Service at any time without notice.
